HGS USA accelerates RPA capabilities with comprehensive training
ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES — Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm HGS helped enhance the skills of its 55-person robotic process automation (RPA) team through a pioneering Enhanced RPA/Bot Training program.
The training included a comprehensive Automation Anywhere (AA) course to expedite certification through real-world exercises, mentorship, code reviews, and mock exams. HGS also presented a month-long, trainer-led Microsoft Power Automate course in a virtual classroom to prepare attendees for the MS PL500 external exam.
A key feature of the program was the “Botathon,” where trainees were grouped and assigned to create a bot to solve a business problem. Winning bots were awarded and put up for sale, adding to an archive of reusable code for future projects.
As part of the training reinforcement, HGS also developed an automation framework bot and a code review bot to facilitate the onboarding of new hires and streamline code quality and adherence to best practices.
The training yielded impressive results, with 65% of the 23 AA training participants earning Advanced Certification and 35% achieving Master Certification. Additionally, 34 HGS participants completed the MS Power Automate course and received certificates from an external institute.
The program’s success is evident in the substantial 70% increase in HGS’s RPA revenues over the previous year. The firm also gained recognition in the RPA space with five bots submitted to the AA bot store, signaling HGS’s commitment to fostering a tech-advanced, quality-focused environment.
